Buffalo-Niagara LGBTQ History Project presents

Mad-Fest!

Join the Buffalo-Niagara History Project and multiple generations of LGBTQ artists as we celebrate the life and legacy of Madeline Davis: activist, historian, singer-songwriter, and local and national lesbian icon.

Part 1: Local LGBTQ artists honor Davis, writer of the first gay liberation record, by covering her songs and performing music of their own. Featured artists: Jay Aquarious, Kerrykate Abel Smith & Chuck Basil, Leafy Trees, MYQ Farrow, and Tia Brown.

Part 2: Screening of the documentary Swimming with Lesbians. Learn how Davis and comrades founded the Madeline Davis LGBTQ History Archives, one of the largest LGBTQ archives in the country.

Admission: sliding scale. Suggested donation: $10. No one turned away.
