[A fifty-six page color booklet published in conjunction with the exhibition of the same title. Contains essays about the artists, Cuba, and the program by Holly Block, Betti-Sue Hertz, Lupe Alvarez, Larry Baza, Valerie Cassel, Ernesto Pujol, Sara Kellner, Emily Todd, Eduardo Aparicio and an introduction by Helmo Hernandez. Also contains artist biographies and interviews and a chronology of selected events in Cuban art and history since 1959. Exhibition codirected by Holly Block and Betti-Sue Hertz and coordinated by Art in General (New York City), Longwood Arts Project/Bronx Council on the Arts (New York City), and Fundacion Ludwig de Cuba, Havana. The exhibition also showed in San Diego (March 13-April 25, 1998), New York City (May 9-June 27, 1998) and Chicago (Fall 1998). The booklet was designed by Rebecca Uberti and Katie Andresen.]
