A collaborative, two-site, exhibition bringing together folk artists and contemporary artists to examine food. The Hallwalls site includes THE AMERICAN WAREHOUSE (Michael Bramwell, reconstructed USDA food boxes and the recipes of homeless people); CRAVE (Millie Chen, spices and terracotta spoons), TOXICOLOGICAL TABLE (Rebecca Howland), works by Susan Eder; Eva Melas; Sarah E. Webb; Annie Lopez; Stephen J. Shanabrook (chocolate castings of wounds); Christina Daphne Tryforos; Jill M. Birschbach; Ted Gibson; and Gordon Simpson. Gordon Simpson will perform CEREAL AND SUGAR COATED IDEOLOGY on the night of the opening. Exhibition is accompanied by an illustrated catalogue with essays by Sara Kellner, Elizabeth Licata, and Kate Koperski.
