Lewis Colburn & Alison S. M. Kobayashi

Opening Reception and Artist's Talks

Lewis Colburn's Interregnum (1815-1969) takes the form of a large-scale, mixed media installation. The project consists of a life-size replica of Napoleon Bonaparte's carriage, crashed on a stage set of the Moon. Alison S. M. Kobayashi is a visual artist working in video, performance, installation and drawing. For her exhibition at Hallwalls, Kobayashi will be presenting selected video works, including a new Buffalo-based work derived from a narrative literally found on a Buffalo sidewalk in 2004.

Artist's talks begin at 8:00 p.m. in the Hallwalls Cinema.
